Why are Canon PowerShot D10 prints in low resolution?
I have been using the Canon PowerShot D10 for about 6 months now. I absolutely love the camera and the great features it has. I'm not a camera pro, when it comes to technical issues I'm clueless. Anyway, I went on vacation and once I Returned decided I wanted to print the pictures I took (haven't done that in a while!. and first time from this camera). When I put the pictures in Costco Photo Center, EVERY picture came up with a LOW RESOLUTION warning at every size. I tested a couple and of course they came out blurry in print (4X6 prints). :( Totally bummed. Im sure there's no way to fix these photos for printing purpose... but how do I fix the issue for future snap shops? Is it a camera function?
Any help is much appreciated! :) THANK YOU

Are you using the images exactly as they came from the SDcard or did the images go through another program/application before you brought them to Costco?

Have the default settings been changed on the camera?
The size of the jpegs should be about 4mb each.

I am uploading the images from the camera to iPhoto on my MacBook. Any other camera I upload pictures from to iPhoto and then to Costco never had this issue... so I think it's a camera setting.

Not sure if the default settings were ever changed as I'm new to the camera and there's so many options/settings/functions... who knows if I unintentionally set something I shouldn't have. Is there a way of checking this?

Oh I think I found the issue... I looked in iPhoto for the info on each picture and they all range from 1.3 to 2.9MB. :( So there's no way of salvaging these pictures for print huh?
How would I fix this on the camera for future pictures?

Also... ONE picture was a picture we bought from a professional when we went swimming with dolphins. That image also comes out low resolution. THat info says 871KB... not sure what that means.
    I don't understand why they'd sell a picture for 25$ that I couldn't even print!!

    Thanks again

One option is to skip the laptop and bring the SDcard directly into the photo printing place.
