Hook up VCR to LCD Television
Have an LCD TV that is the 2nd TV in a Dish Network environment. This TV is not directly attached to the Dish Network Box. It must be on channel 60 to receive the Dish signal.

I have a VCR only that has antenna in and antenna out coax connectors and a place for video out (yellow cable) and audio out (red and white cables). (It also has these connections on the front of the VCR for Video Input.)

I've attached the coax from Dish to the VCR and coax from the VCR to the TV. Can view the programs OK on the TV.

I hooked the yellow, red and white cables in the OUT on the VCR and into the IN for a AV Input on the TV but I can't record a program. I have the VCR on channel 3. Also tried it with the VCR on channel 60. I thought I would have to have the VCR on to get TV but I do not.

I can't figure out what I have wrong to be able to record on the VCR.
    Help please and thanks.

I'm assuming the coax you connected to the VCR input used to go directly to the TV. If so, the VCR should be tuned to channel 60. What makes you say it isn't recording? Are you sure nothing is on the tape?
