I have a panasonic ct36d12df TV.I lose the picture and get a bright horizontal line across the screen.sometimes turning TV on and off solves the problem.other times I have to turn off and wait.otherwise I get a good picture.is this worth having fixed?

I have a panasonct big screen ( older odel). It started smoking yesterday and woll not turn back on I make a clicking sound. Is this something I shold have lookded for a service fee or just wrigt it off and purchas a new TV? Any help would be appreicated. Thanks Michelel

I have a 32 in. panasonic TV which works fine, except it will turn itself off, and then when it feels like it, it will turn itself back on. It's very annoying, but the set works fine otherwise. I'd appreciate any suggestions. It's ten years old, so I don't want to spend a fortune to fix it....
