    Netflix ready Blu Ray players
When a Blu-ray with netflix streaming capability is bought, what other apparatus is needed (i.e router, netgear, etc.) to establish a wireless connection from your HDTV abd blu ray?

It all depends on the specific Blu-ray player that you are purchasing. If it is "Wireless READY" then you will need a wireless adapter for the player (usually retails for $80 USD). If it has "Wireless Built-in" then you will only need a router, a modem, and Internet service.

Netgear is my preferred brand of router. If your Blu-ray player does not have wireless built in, and you decide to purchase the separate adapter, they are BRAND specific. So if you purchase a Samsung Blu-ray player you will need to get the Samsung Wifi Adapter. Otherwise you can also get a wireless bridge which would receive the wireless connection, but plug into the LAN connection on the Blu-ray player. These tend to cost a little bit more though. On the plus side, they are universal.
