I have a LG dvd recorder I can watch a dvd on the TV from it but don't know how to connect it to record. I have a sky hd box connected to the TV, how do I connect the LG recorder to a Samsung TV. Many thanks

Run video cables out from your Sky HD box into your LG recorder's line in. Without knowing the model number, I can only guess that the best way to connect your Sky HD box to your recorder is via composite audio/video cables. These are the yellow, white, and red RCA cables.

When you record, you will need your box pre-set to the channel you want to record and make sure you are recording from the input which it is connected to. Usually this is Line 1 for the connection on the back or Line 2 for the input on the front.

This will usually record everything that is happening on the box. So if someone picks up the remote and begins looking through the guide, this will also record onto your DVD recorder.
