    Broken SONY projection TV
I have a 51" sony projection TV that was given to me by my father who was unwilling to fix it. If at all possible I would like to fix it myself. When you turn the TV on all that you see is a blue screen with white outlines of the charecters of what your watching. I can't pretend to know a ton about tvs, but I pulled off the rear case, and it appears that one of the three colors of the projecter is more faint than the other 2. I don't know if this is any indication of what the problem may be.

Yes, you could have lost a color gun, but if you are not trained to go in and make the repairs, STAY OUT!

You are going to be sticking your hands into rather high voltage areas.

As to the blurred characters, I suggest you run the on-board diagnostics and check the "Convergence". If that is off, so are your characters and pictures.

Also, consider calling in a factory trained tech to make the repairs, you don't have to be a hero.
