It would help to know what type of singing it is that you would want to do in order to answer you question the best.
Thanks!

Join your school or church choir. Find a singing coach in your area, so you can get tips on how to improve your voice.

Take voice lessons, learn music theory, and practice, practice , pracice.
Also sing any and everywhere you can be allowed to.

I would still appreciate an answer to my original question as to what type of singing it is that you would want to do, if you would be so kind as to answer it. Depending on the type of singing that you want to do, you could get a variety of kinds of answers. Not all types of singing require you to take lessons in order to do them successfully, but you might need some tips on singing with a microphone. Aside from that, other types of singing will require you to take lessons in order to perfect how to utilize the vocal instrument that you have been given to it's fullest potential.
Thanks!

Ist thing I would tell anybody to do is to tape record yourself singing. This is how you really sound. This way you don't waste your life with a dream that will never come true or you will gain self confidence with your singing ability and go further.

Everyone who can speak can also sing. It doesn't mean that the person attempting to sing is born with a Stradivarius for an instrument. But, nonetheless, we can all sing, if those that are trying to sing can speak.
We don't know if sweet_22 was asking about making a career out of singing or just wanting to be able to sing.

Yes, please give more info if you want any help here. If you just give a general question, all you will get in return is a general answer.

Hi, ArticMonkey!
Yes, I can give you advice. I'm still waiting for you to return to your thread that you started over in the Music topic area. This is someone else's question that's at the top of the page and all answers here really should be directed to helping that person.
You've already started a thread for you that's your very own.
Thanks!
