    Pericles and Xennopheons
    Comapring Primary sources.

I have an assignment due by Wednesday.

We have to compare these primary sources and use Bias info from them .

I have read the paper numerous times and I honestly do not understand not one bit of it.

I mean I have a small idea but not a lot.

I am not asking for you to do my work, just can someone, anyone kind of give me a few hints onto what I can compare?

I honestly don't know. I see no similarity between the two at all!

I was going to say they have the same in Government but that might be wrong?

I know the Bias in the writtings but other then that I'm so lost :(

Thank you and please someone help me out with this, or give me hints even.
I would have asked help from my teacher but its hard to get a word in with the guy.

EDIT: What does he mean by "Advancements to live falls to reputation for capacity" ? That confused the heck out of me? It it mean Advancements coeme with majority of people?

I understand PEricles had an order of rules but kept fair between everybody, so there is no jealousy or hatred towards people.

Both are democracies but run in different manner.
Pericles states that there is the fairest of systems - does not matter who you are, you status in life, your money, your education, etc. - you have just as fair a shot as anyone else in serving the country, obtaining justice, and other rights of citizens. Clearly stated that the society is to serve all, not just the privileged few.

The Athenians, while having a democracy, show a bias towards the "popular types" and the implication is that there is more ignorance, poverty, abuse of the democracy itself.

That is what I got out of it. My two cents for you.

The advancements quote - he means that if only taken by social standing, the advancement for public llife (piblic service) comes to those who have the reputastion for being able to deal accordingly. Like the rich get the posts or appointments to high places. Whereas the law does not define social status but provides equal for all. The law would provide the man the opportunity to serve, no matter his condition.
I hope that is right. That is how I read it.
