    Can someone help me with this please? I get 45 but book states answer is 9

    14 14

    I know 9 x 5 =45 but there is no common factor so I do not see how you can reduce this beyond my answer (unless I have gotten things badly wrong!) Can someone help please showing the working so I can understand.

    Cross reduce your numbers. 9/14 is the answer.
