    Scared about leaving school?
I know this will sound weird and everything but I'm scared of leaving school.

I know most people hate school and can't wait to leave but I'd miss a lot of other students and even teachers. It's just I'll miss the classroom environment. It's also the fact that I'm going to have to apply for jobs when I leave .

Your probably thinking 'Get a grip' sort of thing. But honestly, I didn't realize how much I enjoyed school.

Just wondering if this is a normal feeling for people my age? :)

Normal is a subjective thing... I'm one of those that did well, got along but was more than glad to move on.

But keep in mind life goes on... everyone else is going to be moving on... and your old teachers will have new students they need to focus on.

It's a big change but you will have more and even bigger ones in your life.

You can continue the school thing at a community college and work toward a certificate in something or an associate's degree. Some of your classmates will probably be doing the same thing. Meanwhile, get a job, even part time, and meet some new people plus enjoy the corporate culture and structure there.

Get a part time job now, if you have transportation. Just one weekend day maybe, in a grocery store or clothing store. That way you learn the basics of a cash register, if they let you start on that. You'll have a few dollars saved.
I lived in a very rural area, so my only option was to babysit near by. But ANY job experience is good.
Employers like to hear that you worked your last year of high school too.
