How to do better in math and science
:confused:I am really failing in math and science, so I have a feeling that I am going to fail grade nine and want some advice. What should I exactly do , I am scared to see my last report card. Cause my parents accept me to get a mark over70 % . So I don't have that kind of mark. So can you help me?

You have never failed in knowing how to eat.
You have been doing it for a long time with plenty of practice.
This is the answer to your problem.
    PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.
With practice and enjoying it when you are doing it you gain the confidence with the solving of problems.
With complete confidence you can actually start teaching the subject to others.

I am a high school science teacher. It will take some work and will power, but you can do this: First, recognize that if you are really failing, your counselor should be able to lead you to a summer school course to make up the credit. Then, for the rest of this year, study your notes JUST A LITTLE each day. If you study for more than 15-20 minutes on any subject a day, you are not studying correctly. Take your notes and read through them. Think about what was said in class and what you did in class and what you saw in class. Be confident to ask questions when you do not understand. But, make sure YOU ASK QUESTIONS! If you begin this course of study by studying your notes each day (yes, for 6-7 classes you may have to spend a little over an hour each day) and asking questions when you need help, you should start to notice a difference. Pay attention - ask questions - study 15 minutes each day for every class. I have challenged my students for over 10 years with this. I tell them that if they honestly do this, their grade will change. Nobody has ever told me, "Teach, I studied, asked questions, and really tried my best and I still failed." Will never happen.

Talking from experience, yes practice is what you need and actually paying attention.

I'm a college student and trust me, Math in particular, has NEVER been my favorite subject, but I managed to pass my math courses with B+ because I had to stick to it.

Practice and study. Yes, take time from your day and study. Learn the material, find people to help you if you don't understand.

Why do I get intimidated in science even though I know I get better grades than others... but there are some who just seem to know everything<<< that's what really gets to me a lot! I think to myself why can't I be like that! Trust me it's not a nice feeling...

If you are well prepared there is little chance you forget, and even if you did, you can't forget everything, otherwise, you were just not well prepared.
