Can someone please explain to me what u know about factoring?
The problem is that I have trouble factoring, it may be extremely easy to you, but if you would explain the best you can so that I can remember and understand and so that I can get a good grade on my quiz tomorrow, that would be awesome. I looked on the internet already but it's just tons and tons of blurs of words and I don't really comprehend what they are trying to teach me. I understand factoring problems like these for the most part, which are apparently like the hardest or one of the hardest factoring questions there are:
2x^2 +3x +12; slide and divide/guess and check stuff. (or something like that, I know this may not even factor out to make an answer, but you get me, right?) The hard ones for me are the other ones, especially the binomials like these: x^2-76 and how can you tell if the answer is prime? I have asked my teacher, but she didn't really help me.
