York Furnace (GY9S/GM9S/GF9S) Not working - 3 Red flashes on Diagnostic
    Hi,

We have a york furnace up in the attic to heat the bedrooms. We had a major wind condition one day and the furnace stopped working after that. It has the three red-light diagnostic red blinks, which means either the -

Faulty pressure switch, broken pressure switch hose, blocked vent pipe or faulty inducer.

When the furnace receives a signal from the thermostat to provide heat, it starts for a minute, we can feel a slight air coming from the room vents and then it shuts off again.

We are novices and have no idea what to do... Can anyone guide us please..
Also.. the furnace is under warranty but parts are not, we do have extended home warranty also...
Who should I call... extended home warranty ? Furnace warranty? Or home-insurance? Or just call the repair man and foot the bill?

    Thanks for the help..

The issue is likely caused by a faulty air pressure switch. In order to confirm this take the small putty colored hose off the furnace at the burner side. Put the hose in your mouth and gently put positive and negative pressure through the tube, you will feel some clicking. Replace the hose and set the thermostat to call for heat. If the heat does go on, you have identified the problem. A replacement switch can easily be purchased on line. Depending upon the features of your switch, (one or two hoses and electrical connections), the cost will likely be under $100.00 to replace.

I disconnected the gray (putty colored) hose between the pressure switch and the blower housing. From the blower housing. I sucked on the tube and water came out. I spit out the water and did it again until no more water cam out. When I re-connected the hose to the blower housing, the furnace worked. (I tried this on the other hoses before. This hose was the one that had water in it causing problems. The water was probably also in the diaphram, but I got enough out for it to work.)

I have the 3 red lights too, and I tried positive and negative pressure on the hose and didn't get any water. I also didn't hear any clicking. =/ But I am getting the 3 red flashing light error.

I had the same 3 flashing red lights. After having some turbulent wind conditions. What I found was the intake was plugged with snow and ice. After running plumbing snake down intake and clearing it out the furnace started right up on it's own.
