    Wiring RTH7600 question
Just bought the RTH7600 to replace my manual thermostat and have a question regarding the wiring.

The line being run up the thermostat contains 6 wires: red, white, green, blue, orange and black

    Thermostat (main floor):
Manual thermostat - red and white.
Humidifier control - green and blue.
Not used - orange and black.

    Furnace (basement):
    R - Red
    C - Green
W - White wire and blue wire
    Y - (empty)
    G - Black

Since the orange is free on both ends, it's easy enough to make that why if needed.
As far as the green goes though, would I want to chain it from the humidifier control?

My system is a heat with fan (no A/C)

Not sure why I spelled out "why" instead of Y when talking about hooking the orange up to those connections. Haha

We have just installed the RTH7600 it's working fine, but I don't understand the Cool setting - for example, I have the temperature set at 68F and the cool temperature shows 82F is that right or should I lower the 82F to 71F or won't it make any difference as we do not have air conditioning.

I have a honeywell RTH7600 thermostat. The inside temperature on the termostat says it is 4 degrees higher than the room actually is. It says it is 78 degrees and it is actually 74 degrees. Is there a way to calibrate the thermostat to show the true temperature?
