    Why ac transformer keeps popping
    The transformer in the ac air handler keeps huming then it pops where it burned out why?

    Because you have a short circuit that needs to be traced down and repaired. Transformers are expensive so I suggest you install a inline fuse from (Radio Shack) or others to prevent the transformer from burning out while you do the repair. Fuses are much cheaper than transformers.
