I changed from a non programmable stat to a honeywell rth221 programmable stat last winter. Heat worked fine. No A/C. The wires were not labeled. How can I check it out?

The long taper candles were melted. We returned and immediately changed the thermostat and opened windows to cool down the house. Is there other damage that we can expect?

My maple chase thermostat says it is 99 degrees in my house so the furnace will not go on Any suggestions? I have tried resetting it but after a 10 seconds it returns to 99.

Help. I have replaced the batteries, the fuse is fine, but it's cold in here. It display reads that it is 99 degrees in here, which is incorrect, for it's about 65 degrees. How can I make the heat come on? Terry
