    Temperature setting for boiler
How hot is too hot to set the temperature for a boiler? What is a safe & efficient set point? Is 215 too hot and why?

If you're referring to a water heater the factory setting is 120 F.

Would you want to take a shower in water that the temperature was over the boiling point? They boil lobsters with less heat. Cheers, Tom
Thanks for responding to my question. I'm not referring to the water heater. I'm referring to the boiler that heats the water for my baseboard heating.

A/C temperature setting [ 2 Answers ]

Today, I am told by A/C serviceman that the thermostat setting should be 72 degrees regardless how high the outside temperature is. The reason is: every time the unit kicks on or off, it will use 240 volts, and a low setting will make A/C run non-stop, thus will save electricity. Any truth to...

Effects of differential setting on FHW system/boiler [ 1 Answers ]

I have been trying to set the controller where the boiler will cycle longer and supply more heat. It has been very cold the past few days, but regardless, I have short cycling of a few seconds - to running for five to ten minutes (5-10) at a time. It seems to run about 50% of the time. I have the...
