    Site:askmehelpdesk.com white rodgers questions
I have a White Rodgers 1F80-24 and have purchased a 1F82-0261 (so that I can see the display!).
Currently - the following wires are connected
Red - RH jumpered to RC
    White - White
    Yellow - yellow
    Green - green

There is no RC terminal in the 0261 - do I need to eliminate the jumper wire, or place it in the 'C' Terminal?

Before I do something wrong and potentially damage the furnace or thermostat, thought it would be prudent to ask.

    Thank you,
    Mark M

One thing for sure don`t put jumper to the c terminal, not for sure but don`t think you need a jumper, did it come from factory with a jumper already in it?

The 0261 have a Y terminal instead of a RC terminal

Was there instruction s with the 0261?
The 0261 was meant to be for a heatpump but can be used for 1h/1c

Thanks. Yes, I have the instructions, but I'm not an electrician, and the diagrams aren't exactly clear for the layman. I have just learned that the ones that have RC and RH are designed to be used if there aer separate transformers for heat and cool, most modern systems go with one, so that's why they use the jumper.
So in this case, I just use the R terminal, no jumper neededin the 0261. Thanks for the response.
