    A few more words to the question would be helpful. But let me take a stab at it.

    Cut in means the pressure switch closed.

    Cut out means the pressure switch means it opened.

My well occasionally runs dry, so I recently replaced my pressure switch with a Square D switch with the low pressure cut-off to protect the pump. It is set for a 40-60 psi range (same as the old one). Now about half the time, when when it reaches the 40 psi cut-in, the pressure suddenly drops...

I'm about to attempt re-plumbing a well-x-trol wx202 pressure tank as the pipes are starting to leak slightly. The tank says its pressure should be the same as the cut in pressure. Am I right in assuming that's the point the pump turns on? Any tips or pitfalls you can give are appreciated. Thanks

When I run too much water in the house the cutoff switch shuts down till I manually flip the lever to get it back running again... we cannot run more than 2 faucets at a time.. any ideas?the switch is roughly 2 months old... turns on around 30 shuts off around 50.. thanks
