New home , moved in first week of first fill was 390 Gal 721.00, Next fill was first week of Dec 418 Gal. $836.00, first week of Jan 346.gal $691.00, Feb 365 Gal. $730.00 What in heaven is going on. Live in the northeast and the weather has been mild we keep the heaters (Two Zone) between 66 and 69 degrees. Can some one tell me what's going on. It's a Brand New Home 4000 Sq. ft. Propane Stove and Fire Place (not used) Brand New Propane Furnace (Goodman):mad: :eek:

PS what do I expect from My Central air they're Goodman also.:(

You have a 4000 square foot house did you expect to heat it for free?

Just kidding.

Propane as well as all forms of energy are expensive today and the price will go up in the future. For many people the days of living in large sq ft homes is coming to an end unless you have lots of $$$.

Steps you should take.

Call the company that installed you furnace. It should be under warranty and tell them you want a efficiency check. This will tell you if the furnace is operating properly.
If the furnace is operating properly then you will need to have the propane lines checked for leaks ( pressure tested) especially if your lines are underground and check the tank also. Then look around like all other home owners to see if there are any air leaks around windows/doors etc.

There is no magic cure for your situation and many of us are suffering just like you with high utility bills.
