    Trane Air Handler
We recently purchased a Trane 16Xi with a Trane 4TEE variable speed air handler. The air handler has been installed upside down. Is this right? At 75 degrees the compressor is coming on for 10 minutes. shutting down for 20 minutes. The humidity in the house is running 57% to 61%. Outside humidity is around 71%. The "second stage" is not coming on at all. Air flow through the vents does not seem as strong as our old unit. Sorry, I'm not very knowledgeable about AC units. If this makes sense to anyone, can you tell me what types of problems we may be having. I'm especially interested at this point in the air handler being installed upside down?? We've also purchased a Clean Effects which has not arrived yet and the installer is waiting for that before he checks out the above mentioned problems. Thanks.

Your air handler is listed as a convertible , which means it can convert to blow air either up or down to conform to the installation, this is normal.
The system that you purchased is top of the line equipment, the air flow is common to run at a lower speed with one stage cooling in operation, unlike your old system which probably only had one speed (high during cooling) This is part of the energy saving design that the high end equipment incorporates.
I would allow the contractor to fine tune the system and discuss your concerns at that time .
