Set at 68 but keeps running till 77 or longer

Set at 68 but keeps running till 77 or longer

I have had the reset button and transformer replace have it set at 68 but when came back home from doing stuff it was 77 will shut off than maybe 5 minutes will come back on and it still will be 77 what is wrong ?
