Rheem Furnace Fan Control Center Transformer
I was replacing my transformer/fan control center for a Rheem Furnace (central Heat/air) and did not label the wires. I am now very confused... I have two sets of contact wires coming out of the relay, one set "no" and the other "nc". And the Primary wires on the transformer... How do I connect this to my furnace??

connect the common, x-former hot, and 120 line together. Connect the X-former neutral, (usually the blower motor neutral) and the line neutral together. NO goes to fan high (cooling speed) and the NC usually, goes to the fan limit control, then that goes to the blower low (heat speed)

Always double check the appliance has no power before working on it.

Fan Center Transformer burned [ 7 Answers ]

My fan center transformer failed, I replaced it with a new one, and it has failed too. It seems the transformer burns out when the thermostat is moved to the cool setting. There must be a short in the low voltage wiring, however I'm unsure of what I should see across the different L.V. wires...
