    Refrigerator and freezer
I wonder what the difference is between a refrigerator and a freezer is. Does
A freezer defrost like a refrigerator every 20 minutes or so.
Why do ice cubes stick together in a refrigerator tray. Maybe because they defrost
    So much?
It seems the deep freezer maintains it temperance consistently??
I WONDER IF ICE CUBES WOULD STICK TOGETHER IN A DEEP FREEZER?

    Biggest diference is temperature.

The defrost cycle is a bit more complicated than you describe. It occurs when there is ice build up in the inside coils of the fridge.

Ice forms because humidity from the air when you opent he door condenses on the cold surface of the evaporator and sometimes forms ice.

I`ve never seen a refigerater defrost every 20 minutes or so,, most defrost once every 24 hours,, according to the type of timer, for maybe 18 to 24 minutes,, they will cut off when the temperature is reached and then come back on when temp. rises

I think a deep freeze maintains a temp close to zero, the freezer attached to the fridge is not so cold or reliable because you open and close the refrigerator door so often and the motor must go on and off to keep things cold, but first the temperature sensor has to be triggered. So the actual temp swings up and down a lot, which isn't good for your frozen foods.
