Oil burner lights then goes out
I have a Becket burner on a home heating furnace. The burner lights then goes out. I have replaced the nozzle with the proper size and type .75x80, replaced the oil filter and the cad cell. The cad cell is sensing resistance to start the burner however it won't stay running. The site path to the flame is clear so I don't understand why it will not stay lit. I called a heating repair service and the tech told me I may have bad oil. (Finally my question) Is it possible that bad oil is causing the problem, even though it lights and burns?
