    Mitsubishi mini splits operating questions
haywala (2 Posts) Apr 15, 2012, 03:05 PM Report MSZ-FE12NA installed.live in Nova Scotia,Canada. I am wondering what to do as seasons change.Do I leave the unit on all year long(except for filter cleaning) and switch between heating and cooling as required? Do I switch unit on and off for periods and use when needed? I suppose by turning off at times it will cause humidity to fluctate some what. What is the best thing for the unit itself and also for the house

    Thank you for your time

I would suggest leaving the unit on and set to temp of your comfort zone whether for heating or cooling, year round. This is what the unit is designed for. No need to turn it off, just set the temp where you want it, and switch from heat to cool as necessary. However, shutting it off won't hurt a thing. If you want to shut if off, that's fine.
