    Maple Chase Thermostat
    Hello,

My thermostat is reading low battery. I replaced the battery and it still reads the same and to make matters worse the AC unit is not working. The directions say check and see if the fuse has to protect system. This is where the confusion takes place, my knowledge on this stuff is minimal at best. Are they talking about the fuse inside the thermostat if there is one or the box outside by the unit? I look inside the box and pulled out some black item that was inside the box. Is that thing a fuse? It had an handle on it. The fuses I'm use to seeing do not look like that. This is the wrong time of the year not to have AC. The item number for the thermostat is 09620. Can anybody help??

The furnace may have a small automotive type fuse on the control board in the furnace, I would suggest you check that. Good luck, Mike

No that's not as fuse you have a disconect box ,its used to kill the power when needed to work on unit,, turn off the breaker or fuse in your main power box that goes to your furnace and a/c for just a few minutes and then turn back on,, if its needed this will reset your tstat,, goodluck

I am hoping someone can answer my question. I have a digital maple chase thermostat and have it set to auto cool at 74 degrees. I noticed when it does not get over 74 and the air does not kick on for a few hours (more like 5 hours) that it resets itself to 78. Does anyone know why it does this?
