    Installing new capacitor
I have a 1 HP 110 volt blower that got over headed due to clogged intake. When I looked inside the control box I noticed that the capacitor had leaked and was burned. I purchased a new capacitor and hooked it up. I assume since there are no + or - markings the two wires from the capacitor are interchangeable. When I turned the power on nothing happened.

Is there something special I needed to do to the new capacitor to charge it up?

The fan turns freely by hand.

I checked the switch with a meter and it works fine.

    Cheers
