    How many ton ac/heat unit I need for 1700 sq. ft 2 story home?
    I have 1700 sq.ft 2 story home. What size in tons I need for heating cooling?

    You should really do a manual J to be sure. Location,windows,insulation and the type and size of the duct work are just part of the equation. Usually the upper floor on a two story are hard to cool without duct modification. The duct configuration is covered under manual D.
