Have the oil company set you up on the automatic fill schedule. They will make sure you never run out.

Sorry you guys. I thought maybe some of you knew what I meant. Okay.

Letter I got in the mail reads:
"As a valued customer, we are concerned about your account. We have been unable to contact you in reference to the balance shown above. Therefore, we are now informing you that to prevent a RUNOUT you must pay the amount shown above or call our credit dept to discuss your account."

No way they have to trying to contact me because they have my number and my email address... but anyway...

I've contacted them about payment arrangements yesterday.

The reason we do not understand is we do not do billing problems here. As long as they are paid you will get oil.

I understand that you don't do billing problems. I was just asking if anyone knew what a "run out" meant. I thought maybe someone has experienced something like this. That's why I asked.

The letter they sent you seems to be saying they consider your account to be past due or in arrears. Run out means they are threatening to cut you off as a customer if they are not paid. If you think there is an error you should contact whomever mediates these kind of disputes in your area, look in the blue pages of your phone book to find out.
