    How do you turn on the circulator pump without turning on the burner?
    I just want to be able to turn on the circulator pump without the burning turning on. Is there an easy way? Are the circulator pumps DC or AC? How many volts if DC?

Gas fired hot water baseboard system. 3 thermostat zones. When 1 of the zones calls for heat, the zone valve opens and a 'click' is heard, but does not kick the pump on. If I switch the pump from 'intermitent' to 'constant', water flows, the boiler kicks on and all works fine.

I have an oil furnace plenty of oil and power to everything, but the circulator will not work. It hums when I turn the t-stat up. I would like to repair it. I cannot afford to replace it today -- and pay emergency service prices.
