    How do I wire this new thermostat with different color wires?
    Ritetemp thermostat install.
    The old thermostat has
    Y- yellow wire
    G - green wire
    R- red wire
    O - orange wire
    W2 - white wire
    E - brown wire
    C - no wire connected

    New Ritetemp has:
    G - terminal
    RC
    RH
    W
    Y
    C

    Any suggestions how to wire the new one? Thanks! Zeke39

    The old thermostat looks like it is for a heat pump with 2 stage heat.

    The new on is not for a heat pump and does not have 2 stage heat capability or a reversing valve connection.

    In short the new thermostat you have will not work.

    Thanks hvac1000,

    The new thermostat was here when I moved in and now I know why it wasn't installed! Time to go shopping. Any suggestions on a decent thermostat?
