    How do I check the sequencer in my intertherm furnace?
    My Interthrem electric furnace will not run in automatic;I've changed the sequencer per suggestions,but to no avail what can I do?

    I have an Intertherm furnace that will not run in automatic. I've changed the sequencer per instructions and also the t,stat. And it still will not run... help please. I am a hands on type of guy.

    You will need a meter,, check power going in and across from the same post check for power coming out,, be careful 230 V bits pretty hard

    My furnace will not work after changing sequencer and t.stat,per suggestions,any help
    I have a Intertherm model#FEH-012HA heat only furnace,I disabled the t.stat to check the sequencer(the fan and the strips stayed on)I did this by suggestion. I also changed the t.stat and still the fan will not run in auto.(I left this part out)what do I do now? I'm no electrician but I am a hands on guy and enjoy learning new things, Thank You for any help.

    The thermostat has nothing to do with the FAN in AUTO mode since this function is controlled by the heat sequencer in most units. In a heat only application only two wires are used and that is the red and white going to the R-RED and W-WHITE on the thermostat.

    As a guess on my part it seems like you might have a sequencer that is not functioning properly OR something is wired wrong.

    No problem. Sometimes these things need to be traced down in some logical order or the problem will remain.

My electric furnace sometimes wants to keep heating without ever shutting off. Changed the thermostat but, it still happens. I can tap briskly on the sequencer and it will shut off, and it will run as it is supposed to. But, then it can happen again. Is this probably a problem with the sequencer?
