    Heat pump outdoor unit location
I live in central Virginia and am replacing my oil furnace with a heat pump. Is the east or west side of the house better for location of the outdoor unit. I thought west side for heating but not for cooling. Just the opposite for cooling. Please help!!

Can I disable outside unit with a heat pump? [ 4 Answers ]

I believe I have a Payne heat pump, and it only blows slightly warm air and when the unit comes on, it turns on the outside unit. I always thought the outside unit went with the air conditioner, but I'm learning that isn't always the case. I just installed a new thermostat, and didn't connect...

Outdoor fan on heat pump runs [ 2 Answers ]

The fan on an outdoor carrier unit won't turn off. Turned off at thermostate, tried everything, had to turn it off at the breaker. I am thinking maybe a relay is stuck. Is this a part I can pick up and replace myself or is it a different problem all together Thanks
