Have a Goodman 80% efficiency furnace inside our home, installed in a new home that is 2 years old and still under warranty. The igniter will not stay lit long enough to ignite the gas. The process starts blower comes on, click, igniter lights, igniter goes out, you hear the gas released but...
Suddenly the furnace is not igniting, we can light it manually and the furnace kicks on, but once it reached the desired temp, it will not ignite itself when the temp goes back down. Where do we start troubleshooting?
For several days - have been manually powering down then restarting sometimes catching on the first second or third ignite, trying to fix the furnace and save the kids some money... today it died... will not ignite.. have sanded the flame sensor... cleaned every connection possible... Today...
Goodman furnace is showing single blink every 2 seconds. I see that a possible problem is the FLAME SENSOR. My main question: Is the flame sensor the SAME part as the ceramic ignitor ? If different, where is it in relation to the ignitor ?
