Goodman furnace doesn't start
We turned on our older Goodman furnace (model GMPN080-4) for the first time this fall, and... nothing. The fan works when the thermostat is set to "off" or when the temp setting is lower than the actual air temp. But once we change raise the thermostat above the air temp, the fan goes off. From what I can tell, absolutely nothing happens with the furnace -- no clicks, hums, etc.
The red light on the board blinks three times. I replaced the ignitor and checked for any moisture in the pressure switch and other parts -- there was none. Also replaced filter. Any ideas? BTW, I noticed some water in the bottom of furnace over the summer, and now I see that the relay for the Aprilaire probably became very wet. Could this contribute to the problem? |
