    My furnace is not working
This clare bros. furnace is acting like it is not proving flame. There isn't a flame sensor, and the pilot sensor is enclosed in the top of the gas valve. I have cleaned the pilot sensor with emery.

That furnace might have a older White Rodgers safety system in it. Post some pictures of the gas valve etc and we will find out what you have to start with. I believe Clare company is out of business BUT most of the parts on your unit are generic so they should all be available one way or the other BUT we need to see what you have first.

Furnace burner keeps working even if the blower is not working [ 3 Answers ]

My gas furnace (Trane XL80) this morning started to smell like plastic was burning from the registers, I went to check the furnace and noticed that the blower wasn't working so I turned the breaker off. My question is, should the burner had to turned off if the blower wasn't working for some time?
