    Furnace blows cold air
Carrier Furnace model is 58SCX120 - When initial request from thermostat is made, furnace starts up correctly. After the initial heating cycle, the furnace often blows cold air. The inducer fan and the blower continue to run but there is no flame. The cycle seems to be locked up. I have replaced the flame limit switch and checked the pressure switch located on the inducer assembly. I have also checked the drain to alleviate excess condensation build up. It is clear. When the flame is on, it looks strong and even with a nice blue flame. Igniter is operational.

Hi. I have a gas furnace, not sure of the brand. It is blowing cold air. When I watched it go 'on' before, here's how it generally works - the pilot light ignites, then generally several seconds later the furnace 'catches', makes a low rumble and starts sending warmer air through the vents. ...

My furnace is a carrier and it is pretty old. It works most of the time , but it seems to blow cold air every time it rains and once is dries up it works fine again. I need to either buy a new one or get this one fixed before winter sets in. any suggestions?
