I do not believe you can do much except to make sure the flue/chimney is clear and drawing. Usually a tune up done by a oil burner pro will take care of your problem.

When was the last time you had full service on your burner? Oil usually requires an annual service to run at top efficiency.

I had a tune up and the blower was replaced about a month a go.

I would be calling back the company that just tuned your furnace and have them recheck your unit.

Diesel fumes [ 3 Answers ]

We installed a new furnace in our modular home a year ago. Since it was installed we have a problem with fumes when the furnace is running. The manufacture told me to duct air from under the house to the combustion. The fumes occur just before the blower shuts off. It is a forced air unit.
