    Fan on Compressor
I have recently had a York Affinity installed. The fan (outside) on the compressor runs all the time, whether the compressor (for cooling) is on or off and whether the heat is on or off. Where do I start? Thanks a bunch!

Turn off the power and open up the control panel on the out door unit, see if the wires to the fan are connected to the same side of the contactor as the incoming line voltage (power from house)and let us know,

Thanks for the help. The unit is still under warranty. We called the provider, explained what was happening, and they sent a technician out today. The technician found exactly what you suspected. The fan was wired to the hot side, causing it to run continuously unless the breaker was pulled. Thanks again!
