    Elec thermostat set to 67 - it is 70 and keeps tripping furnace on.
    Have my electronic thermostat set to 67 - it is 69 - oh wait... now 70 in the house. It keeps tripping on my furnace. I don't get it. Broken thermostat?

Fedders thermostat installed 1978. Elec furnace and a/c unit. Three parts: cover, middle plate and wall plate. The middle plate separates from the wall plate. I cannot locate the mechanism to release the middle plate from the wall plate so I can see the wiring. Help appreciated.
