    Clorox in drain
I was told to pour clorox in my ac drain once a month. I am having a steady flow of water from drain pan even after adding the clorox.

If A/C unit is running properly you will have water running from evaporator to the drain pan to drain. Now if water is overflowing from the pan you have a restricted drain and will need to unclogged to get it to drain properly. Putting clorex in pan will not hurt anything. It will help keep water from stagnating if it's not draining properly. Good luck

Chlorox kills slim molds. Slim mold is the glue that holds clogs together in the drain pipe. Usually Chlorox will not unclog a clogged drain, but putting Chlorox in your drains regularly will kill the slim mold and prevent the clog from happening.

Sometimes, especially in small diameter drain pipes, chlorox will open the drain by killing the slim mold.
