Carrier furnace 58sta/stx inducer motor doesn't shut down
The inducer motor on my furnace is always on. When the thermostat calls for heat nothing happens. However, if I remove the inducer motor hose for a minute then put it back on, it fires up as soon as the cover is replaced.

The heat and blower shut off once the required heat is reached but the inducer motor never shuts off. Therefore, the computer thinks it's stuck open so when the thermostat calls for heat again we get nothing unless we remove the hose again.
