Carrier 58pav blower motor running too long after gas
Hello if someone can help me it would be great
Ihave searched and found so many different reasons but I would like the best help I can get.

It's a carrier 58pav my parents installed in Feb 1999.

After the gas turns off, the blower runs for a few minutes, pulling cold air from outside.

I called sears, they charged me 300 dollars, they said they serviceed it, I pointed outh the problem I am having, they said oh no we just clean it we do not do anything else.

Its minus 30 degrees Celsius right now that's without windchill, in calgary
I called the carrier dealer in calgary, they wanted 150 just for looking at it.
We are on a fixed income, we have very very little money. I just was laid off 2 months ago and me and my wife and our newborn girl had to move to my parents because our house was foreclosured on.

So I read it could be, fan limit control switch, heat limt switch, (saamethign?) 24v fuse, inducer, motherboard, reverse polarity? How would that happen?

I am pretty keen on basic elecontrics. But if someone can tell me where to start I would apperciate it.

On most heating systems, the blower normally runs for a minute or two at the end of a heating cycle. The circuit board may have a selection jumper or DIP switch to allow you to adjust the blower off-delay.Where is the cold air from outside entering the return air ducting?
