    A/C Unit is VERY noisy!
My A/C unit recently stopped cooling. I had a repairman come out and he filled up the freon and it began cooling again, only to stop cooling a few hours later. The next day another repairman came out and filled up the freon again, this time it didn't stop working YET.

But ever since the first time the AC stopped cooling the handler (inside the house) has been running EXTREMELY noisy. Sometimes it sounds like a hissing, other times gurgling. The noises are so loud that you can't even hear a TV over the noises!

Anyway, every time the repairmen come to fix it they don't know what to do with the AC and claim there is no leak (although the freon keeps dissappearing).

How do I fix the noises?

    Please help me!

If refrigerant is disappearing there is a leak somewhere. Many times they can be difficult to locate but with some time involved they can be located. As for the hissing noise, You may check and see if the door is on properly. If not air can whisk through the opening to create a sound. If you stand by unit while it is running you probably will be able to locate the source of the noise. Good Luck

Yes I have clean filters on the unit and the cover is on tight.

It sounds like the noises are coming from the pipes.

When the system gets low on refrigerant it will make a noise like you described, it must be a very large leak to need to be recharged the following day, get another service co. or get them to find the leak and fix it.
