    A/C Fan won't kick on without a push
    Air conditioner out side is just a couple years old. I started to get warm in the house went outside there was a buzzing sound. The fan wasn't running so I took a stick put it in there and gave the fan a push it started. Now every time it gets cool enough it goes off like normal but the fan still won't start on its own. I haven't looked at anything yet. I was hoping it would be obvious. Does any know? When it comes on it cools great.

    Sounds like a start capacitor. $10 or so.

My Intertherm electric furnace will turn on to try to work, buzz a bit with activity, get a 'heating smell' and then kick off before the fan will come on. If I set the unit itself to 'On' instead of 'Auto', everything works. I replaced the thermostat on the wall and it's still doing the same...

Once I push the fan, it will stay running until the unit kicks off then goes to kick on again. Then it won't turn and I have to shut it off, then back on and then use the stick again. I saw some posts about a similar issue, but don't know what to look at on the unit as far as checking things out.
