    a/c does not work why?
My A/C tripped the breaker 2-3 times; I reset it and it worked fine. Now, I have to let it sit for many hours before it can work again. I works for a while but stops again. Any suggestions as to why?

It could be as simple as a weak circuit breaker and you can test that out by replacing the breaker with the same brand and size in AMPS. Take it to Home Depot or Lowes/your local hardware store so they can match it up. Kill the power to the breaker before removal then replace it with the new one. This is the cheapest thing you can do first. Hope that solves the problem for you.
