    Burners won't... follow up info
Burners light for couple seconds, then go out

Weather King --- ICECO --- 80 PJ --- forced air --- Honeywell valve (on/off switch)
Burners try to light on 1'st attempt, lights for couple seconds then out on2'nd attempt.
Brand new furnace. Looked in installation manual -- says stuff about igniton sequence,
Tries 4 times, soft lockout, etc.. also something about flame roll out safety switches--
Maybe need to reset? Am kind of afraid to mess with this to much-- don't want to blow up.

Go over what the manual says about the flame roll out switch very carefully. If the control doesn't get the signal from the roll out switch that it has flame very soon after turning the gas on, it will turn it back off and try again a few times. If after about 3 times, and no flame signal, it quits for a while, lockout. My guess is that with a new furnace, the rollout switch is missing, misplaced, or not connected properly. Figure out the problem, and the furnace should run.

If this is a new install and burners light but don't stay lit I would make sure the furnace is properly grounded and that the high voltage is correct polarity, 120 volts to black and neutral is white.

Carrier split - heat burners cycle on and off [ 7 Answers ]

Carrier split unit in heat mode appears to basically operate OK. Once the pilot is lit and the burners come on, the pilot remains lit but the burners will intermittently cycle on and off. This appears to sometimes delay the blower from turning on. Once the blower turns on, it heats to the set temp...
