It takes years of hands on knowlwdge to service a oil burner properly. If it is going to get cold and snow I would be calling for ON Site service ASAP.

Nozzle size and degree of spread, ignition transformer testing, electrode gap and set back, oil pump pressure, bleeding air from the line and air over adjustments are just part of a burner service. It would be impossible for me to tell you how to do all those items plus you really should have some specialized tools for working on the burner to start with.

GOD is GOOD! I was very worried about the boiler being out and almost started to give up and call a service man in the morning... But I had a feeling I should go to the bank, and do my laundry at the 24 hr laundromat. When I got to the bank a car had stalled in the drivethru. When I was finished getting money, a woman asked me to give her a jump and a cigarette I did both, she offered me $5.00 dollars but I refused and told her GOD is GOOD. I went back home and searched the net again for an answer and found the beckett boiler training website. I went back and forth from the laundromat to my house and studied the training info. While my clothes washed I took the boiler apart and clelaned and replaced the filters and screens, then went back and put my clothes in the dryer, returned home and bled the air and primed the pump by the time I was ready to go get my clothes from the aundrymat dryer... my boiler was running smooth!

Here is a great resource for anyone with the problem of No Flame on a Beckett AFG model boiler

No source listed but posting it is not necessary if you have a hard time posting it. As I said before it takes years of working on oil burners to correct problems. Glad you got lucky with the Beckett site but remember this a oil burner needs to be tuned professionally every year. You might have hit the reset or bleed the pump but you still need a tune up. The reason I say this and the Beckett web site will back up this statement is that if not properly tuned you will waste oil since the burner will not be operating at its optimal efficiency. So you can pay to have it tuned properly or waste your money on paying for more oil usage than you should have to. Usually having it tuned is better than running it dirty or not tuned.

In your first post you stated

I have no contract for yearly cleaning I have changed the filters and oil strainers, I am getting oil in the line, but NO Flame

So you already did the filters and strainers once. In your second post you did it again. I find it interesting that it worked the second time. I did mention in my post about bleeding the air so more than likely that was your problem to start with.

Glad you got it going and since you believe in god you might have had some help from that. Stay warm.
