    Air Handler Motor
The motor inside the squirrel cage fan thing in my attic died, I took the squirrel cage out and removed the motor. It is a GE motor, it has this stamped on the face of it "5KCP39HG G078 BS", I have searched the web and the 5KCP39HG gets lots of results but when I add the g078 I get no results, the motors I find have numbers other than G078, also have now way of knowing if its 1/3 hp or 1/4 hp? Including photo of those numbers on face.

Usually the motor will have the horse power and voltage on the side of it. If you can not see it, the make and model of the system will help us get you in the right direction

At night I run just the fan motor with no climate control. I do this because the white noise of the compressor drowns some of the noise out from my inconsiderate neighbor upstairs.
